Cancelling

End your subscription — effective at period end, with a 30-day grace period before data deletion

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep using your current plan through the end of the billing period you've already paid for, after which the subscription ends and a 30-day data-retention grace period begins.

If you change your mind during the grace period, re-subscribing restores everything as it was.

How to cancel

Open the Billing page

In the dashboard, go to Organization → Billing.

Click Cancel subscription

The button appears on the Plan + Status card. It only shows for active subscriptions.

Confirm

A confirmation dialog explains:

  • You keep your current plan through the end of the billing period
  • After that, the subscription ends and the 30-day grace period starts
  • Data is preserved during the grace period and deleted after it ends

Click Confirm cancellation.

Verify the pending state

The Cancel button changes to Resume Subscription, and the plan card shows Active Until Period End.

What happens at period end

When the renewal date arrives:

AspectOutcome
SubscriptionEnds — no further charges
LoginStill works
DashboardRead-only, similar to a trial-expired state
AnalysesStop running — no new analyses can be triggered
Watchdog rulesDisabled (no alerts will fire)
Past dataPreserved for 30 days

The 30-day grace period

For 30 days after the subscription ends, your organization sits in a preserved-but-inactive state. During this window:

Re-subscribe and keep everything

Pick any plan from Organization → Plans and complete checkout. All projects, rules, integrations, members, and historical analyses come back exactly as they were.

Browse history

You can still log in to view past analyses, postmortems, and billing records.

Export postmortems

Markdown postmortems can still be downloaded individually if you need a record.

Cancel the cancellation

If you cancel and decide to stay before the period ends, click Resume Subscription on the billing page to revert without re-checkout.

After the grace period

If you don't re-subscribe within 30 days of the subscription ending, the organization and its data are scheduled for deletion. After deletion:

  • Past analyses, postmortems, and audit logs are gone
  • Project, rule, and integration configurations are gone
  • Team member assignments are removed
  • Re-subscribing creates a fresh organization — your previous data cannot be restored

Deletion is irreversible. If there's any chance you'll come back, keep the subscription on Starter during the gap rather than letting it lapse. The Starter plan is the cheapest way to keep your data alive.

Re-subscribing

When you re-subscribeWhat you get
Within the 30-day grace periodFull restoration — all data, configs, members preserved
After the grace periodA fresh organization — start over

Re-subscribing within the grace period is just a normal upgrade flow from Organization → Plans. The same hosted checkout runs; nothing different.
